The Turkish Canadian Youth and Harvest Festival is a new one-day cultural festival of Turkish art, culture, history and language. Our festival will highlight the unique community identity of Turkish Canadians and Canadian people in Vancouver.

In commemoration of the birth of the Turkish Republic, we are celebrating the cultural influences of multiple civilizations in Turkish history.

The activities will start at Creekside Community Centre on October 29 at 10 am and finish at the Colours of Anatolia at the UBC Chan Centre in the evening. Our daytime expo will feature vibrant musical, dance and artistic workshops, food vendors and performances from Turkey and other parts of the world.

Once the sun has gone down get ready to be blown away by the talented mosaic of cultural singers and dancers performing at the Colours of Anatolia. Our evening gala will be a beautiful celebration of multiculturalism at its finest.

Just as you can find every culture in Turkey, you can find almost every culture at the Youth and Harvest Festival.

Come, come, whoever you are,
Wanderer, idolater, worshipper of fire,
Come even though you have broken your vows a thousand times,
Come, and come yet again.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
